Many people have a strong connection to Cape LaHave Island, from walking its beaches to camping, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
Following several years of community input, the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg signed a conservation easement with the Nova Scotia Nature Trust in October 2025 to ensure the island is protected in perpetuity while remaining accessible for public and traditional use.
Join us for a community open house to learn more about what this means in practice.
The session will include a presentation from the Nova Scotia Nature Trust and information on how you can get involved through its Property Guardians program!
– Wednesday, May 20
– 6:30–8 p.m.
